‘Norwegian Mood’ is the first English-language album by the Norwegian singer star Kari Bremnes, who is one of the most successful artists in Scandinavia. The superb song material of their eighth album is in the tradition of great interpreters like Mary Black or Joni Mitchell and need not shy away from comparison. Producers were Erik Hillestad and Declan Sinnot (Mary Black). Embedded in partly jazzy, partly folkloric arrangements, Kari’s voice leaves calm, thoughtful impressions.
